Why carfax history reports don't always work

I haven't posted to this blog in a long time, but I will be adding stuff regularly. The wholesale car market for premium cars is still on fire. It's nearly December and prices still look like they did in may and june on most cars. There is a real shortage of good cars out there. That's no b.s. The shortage is for real. I buy mainly BMW, Mercedes, jaguar, land rover, Audi, vw, And Porsche product. While it's true that there is not a really bad shortage of these used cars in general, there is a very big shortage of these cars that are actually in excellent condition. People who are not in the car business usually say "don't all Mercedes owners take care of their car?". The answer is absolutely not. At least half of the used cars out there have had some sort of paintwork, bodywork, dents, dings, been smoked in, etc. These are cars that I think are less than excellent condition. Most of these issues will never show up on an auto check report or car fax report. These shaky cars ar bought by dealers and sold to consumers everyday and they're advertised as great cars with no stories because the carfax is clean. For all of you highlinecar buyers out there, do yourself a favor and get the car that you're looking at checked out by an independent mechanic. Even the so called "certified" cars have previous paintwork and bodywork. Buyer beware

BMW M6s AND OTHER M CARS THAT ARE JUNK

I've been very busy for the past 30 dasy or so. I bought 140 cars in December and should buy over 200 this month. Alot of my dealers are already thinking of spring and buying sports cars already. March first is only 6 weeks away. I bought plenty of great BMW M cars this past month and I also saw hundreds of junk ones that aren't worth a penny. UPDATES COMING SOON ON BMW M SERIES CARS

I haven't updated this blog on a regular basis for a while. I do plan to get back on track and update this thing regularly. I've been buying alot of BMWs and particularly M6 coupes and convertibles and M5 sedans. I've bought plenty of nice ones for my dealers, but I have passed on dozens of garbage ones that are 100% completely worthless. These cars seem to be like the old Mustangs and Camaros were in the 90's ( I think this may be the only comparison between the mustang/camaro and a BMW M series). I'm only talking about conditions here. The M Series cars are alot like the Mustang and Camaro in that they are either perfect cars in awesome shape or they are complete garbage and not worth a dollar. If you buy an M series car that is beat up and battered around and needs to be put back together like Humpty Dumpty, it will cost you more than the value of the car and you'll always have a battered up pig of a car that you'll never be proud to own. I have dozens of VIN numbers and condition reports from the turds that I've seen over the past 30 days. I'll post this info when I have time.

SOLD RECENTLY AT WHOLESALE AUCTION

I spent my day today at Manheim's Atlanta Auto Auction. I bought 11 cars today for different dealerships, mostly BMW product. The market is still hot. There is a short supply of good cars and a very short supply of nice sports cars and Land Rovers. I'm traveling to manheim, PA tonite for the high-line sale tomorrow.
